New Kids On The Block Premiere New Single

The New Kids On The Block have premiered their new single “Remix (I Like The)” tonight on On Air with Ryan Seacrest. It’s been almost 5 years since the New Kids released their comeback single “Summertime” in April of 2008.

The song shows off a new sound for The New Kids. Donnie Wahlberg and Joey McIntrye take the lead as they talk about the school nerd remixing herself into the girl every guy wants. This fast paced, drum driven track even includes the signature oh, oh, oh line that the New Kids coined in the late 1980s.

Wahlberg took to twitter Friday afternoon to explain the meaning behind the song.

The band took to their twitter earlier this evening to announce that the premiere of the song, that was originally scheduled for tomorrow morning, would be pushed to tonight at 7.

As the clock hit 7 Ryan Seacrest’s server went down. Seacrest took to twitter to inform the anxious listeners.

The single will be available on iTunes Jan. 28. The band’s 6th studio album, “10,” comes out April 2.

The New Kids announced on “The View” Tuesday that they would be going on tour this summer with 98 Degrees and Boys II Men.

The Package Tour on May 31 in Connecticut and as of right now runs until mid July.
